All four worked GREAT... for one night. One stopped working after one night, another started flickering (and it wasn't the strobe option- it was the obvious flicker of an incomplete electrical connection) on the second night and eventually petered out later that night and a third one stopped working on the third night. So, by the end of the trip we had only one that was still working.I could hear the hum that other reviewers mentioned but I didn't think it was a big deal. If you only need these for one night they are probably great. Also, it's very possible that the harsh conditions on the playa contributed to these lights only working for a short time so it may be that they would work great in less dusty conditions... However, if you are getting these with BM in mind you may want to shop elsewhere or at least dust-proof the boxes before exposing them to the elements! If you've been to BM you...
